New Zealand Football have announced the All Whites will face the Republic of Ireland for the first time later this year.
NZF confirmed this morning the match between World No.33 Ireland and the 122nd-ranked All Whites will be played on November 14th at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
"Coach Fritz Schmid expressed his satisfaction of being offered a benchmark test against a world-class opponent in the Republic of Ireland," NZF said in a statement.
"The Swiss also reaffirmed his ambition to secure further international fixtures, besides another European-based game in the November international window, to offer his young team extensive international exposure through a complete match calendar for this important year."
As such, NZF said they plan to soon confirm more friendlies for the March international window.
