One person dead after crash in Wellington region, road closed for scene examination

One person has died after a one-vehicle crash on Millars Road, Longbush, Carterton.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 5.45am.

The road is expected to be closed for some time while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
