Two people injured, one critically, following serious crash north of Auckland

Two people have been injured, one critically, following a serious crash north of Auckland this afternoon.

Four ambulances were sent to East Coast Road, in Redvale, at around 2.40pm.

One person was transported to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition, while another was transported to the same hospital in a serious condition.

The road has been closed and diversions are in place.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area if possible.
