Teenage boy seriously injured after falling down cliff face at Auckland beach

A teenage boy has been seriously injured after falling down a cliff face at an Auckland beach this afternoon.

Police were called to a cliff at Musick Point, at Buckland's Beach, at 2.50pm.

The teenager received multuple injuries in the fall, and is currently being treated by paramedics at the scene, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter spokesperson told 1 NEWS.

He has since been transported to Middlemore Hospital. 

Emergency services were unable to reach the man by boat as the tide was too far out.
