Small plane lands safely at Nelson Airport after 'reporting difficulties'

Emergency services were on standby at Nelson Airport after a small plane "reported difficulties" before coming in to land/

Police say they were advised that a small plane had reported difficulties around 5:45pm and was thought to be in trouble.

It landed safely shortly after the emergency response was put in place.
