Search underway for missing swimmer in Gisborne

A search is underway for a man who was seen swimming off Kaiti Beach in Gisborne last night.

Police say the man went into the water about 9.45pm but has not been seen since.

Aerial, sea and land searches were conducted until 1am and have resumed again this morning.

Anyone with information about the man is urged to get in touch with Police. Information can be provided to the Crime Reporting Line on (06) 869 0200, reference: Kaiti Beach Search.
