The year may have just begun, but 2019 will already be a year to remember for a lucky punter from Inglewood in Taranaki who has won $22.3 million, striking the Powerball jackpot is last night's Lotto draw.
The winning ticket was sold at Inglewood Bookcentre and is made up of $22 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.
Two other Lotto players are also celebrating after each winning $333,333 in Lotto First Division. The winning Lotto tickets were sold at Pak N Save Porirua and on MyLotto to a player from Wellington.
Meanwhile, Strike Four rolled over last night and will be $300,000 on Saturday.
A Lotto spokesperson says anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
Players can phone Lotto on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
