Wellington man believed to have drowned in free diving accident

A Wellington man has died this afternoon, in an apparent drowning near Seatoun after a free diving accident.

Emergency services were called at 4:10pm after the man was pulled from the water unconscious, police confirmed.

Attempts to resuscitate were unsuccessful, the death will be referred to the Coronoer.
