One person believed to be trapped after two-car crash in Southland

Emergency services are working to free a person believed to be trapped following a two-vehicle crash in Southland.

Police were called to the accident on Lakeside Road, Lovells Flat in Clutha at about 2.40pm

Injuries are unclear at this stage. 

The road is closed and diversions are in place.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
