Worker, 21, dies after becoming stuck in baler on farm near Oamaru

A worker has died after becoming stuck in a baler on a farm in Five Forks near Oamaru.

Police say they received a call-out to the incident on a Waitaki farm shortly after 11am, along with other emergency services.

The worker who died was identified as a 21-year-old man.

WorkSafe NZ told 1 NEWS they have opened an investigation into the incident.

This is the fifth on farm fatality this month, and the 17th this year WorkSafe NZ says.
