Black Sticks women's coach Mark Hager will reportedly be sacked from his role, in the wake of a review into team culture earlier this year, according to Radio New Zealand.
After 1 NEWS earlier this year revealed that Hager caused a rift within his side by accidentally emailing criticism to members of his own squad, Hockey New Zealand's board and Chief Executive Ian Francis have informed both Hager and the players that the long-serving coach will be relieved of his position.
The findings of New Zealand Hockey's review were supposed to be announced last month, before being delayed until early 2019.

It is understood that Hockey NZ were eager to see Hager remain in charge for New Zealand's two opening games of next year's Pro League, before leaving his post.
Hager, though, reportedly turned down that chance, opting to leave now, and is considering legal action against Hockey New Zealand.
The 54-year old coach has been in charge of the Black Sticks women since 2008.
