One dead, three injured in Nelson crash

A person is dead and three others injured after a crash near Nelson overnight.

The crash took place on Whakatu Dr in Stoke shortly after midnight.

The deceased died at the scene, while the injured trio were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road remains closed, with traffic being detoured down Main Rd, Stoke, which is not suitable for heavy vehicles.
