1 NEWS political team's biggest surprises and most revealing moments of 2018

In this last episode of Inside Parliament for 2018 the team of 1 NEWS political editor Jessica Mutch McKay and reporters Benedict Collins and Maiki Sherman discuss the year that was in New Zealand politics.

They discussed the revealing moments, the biggest surprises and their least favourite moment of the year. 

Benedict Collins said he thought the most revealing moment was when he asked various MPs when the last time they smoked cannabis was. 

Maiki Sherman thought the most revealing moment was the tensions between Labour MPs Willie Jackson and Peeni Henare.

Jessica Mutch McKay said her least favourite moment was general run-ins with press secretaries over stories.

The team's biggest surprise was the Jami-Lee Ross saga.
