One person dead after single-car crash in Christchurch

One person has died after a fatal single-car crash in Christchurch this morning.

The incident occurred on Dyers Road, in Cashmere, at around 10am.

The vehicle was found at the bottom of a bank.

Traffic management is in place and motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

A body has been recovered and the death has been referred to the Coroner.
