The Auckland Tuatara's slump has continued, falling to a third straight loss to the Sydney Blue Sox this afternoon, surrendering the four-game series in the process.
Having gone down 9-1 yesterday, the Tuatara fell 7-1 and 5-1 this afternoon, with the bats struggling against the Blue Sox's pitchers.
Their first defeat in particular left the batters with work to do, picking up just two hits throughout the 7-1 loss, with pitcher Kyle Glogoski handed his first loss in a Tuatara jersey.
The second match wasn't any easier for the Tuatara, giving up four runs in the first innings alone, before the Blue Sox added a fifth at the top of the third.
Kris Richards grabbed the only run of the second match for the Tuatara, grounding into a double play on a dire afternoon for the Kiwi outfit.
The final match of the series will be played at 3pm tomorrow afternoon.
