A spokesperson from Civil Defence has told 1 NEWS that the emergency alerts were transmitted successfully to every part of the country with coverage.
The number of people who received the alerts are not 100 per cent clear at this stage as it still needs to be surveyed across the country, but Civil Defence are confident there was a 50 per cent increase since last year.
Civil Defence are encouraging people to take part in their survey to help strengthen the system.
