All Blacks to wear rainbow boot laces in support of former Wales captain

November 24, 2018
Coach Eddie Jones said that the haka was as important as the Spice Girls.

The All Blacks will wear rainbow boot laces for tomorrow's Test with Italy in Rome, in an act of solidarity with former Wales captain Gareth Thomas.

After Thomas was the victim of a homophobic assault last weekend,  the All Blacks have become the latest side to don rainbow laces, in support of LBGT rights.

Confirming the news on Twitter, the All Blacks will join the likes of Wales, England and France, wearing rainbow laces in this weekend's Test matches.

Thomas replied with 'I wish I could put into words how much this means.'

The All Blacks face Italy in Rome tomorrow morning NZT.
