They're one of New Zealand's hottest bands right now with their unique drum and saxophone sound and tonight, Drax Project will be hitting the red carpet with Kiwi music royalty after they were nominated for four Tuis at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
It's been one heck of a year for the Wellington-based band - 12 months ago, they were still working day jobs before taking NZ and the world by storm.
Opening for Ed Sheeran during his Auckland shows in March gave the group its first real taste of the big time before Camila Cabello and her international tour came calling.
With four out of the last five months spent on the road, the journey's taken these guys a world away from Wellington's Courtenay Place and their life as busking music students.
