Fire fighters who have been battling the blaze in Woolsey, Southern California have been treated to a surprise barbeque from Foo Fighters' lead vocalist, Dave Grohl.
Yesterday, Grohl thanked the firefighters by bringing his Backbeat BBQ to first attenders from the Los Angeles County Fire Station.
Posting on Instagram, they wrote, "It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the @foofighters,” Los Angeles County Fire Station 68 wrote on Instagram. “He also treated us to some of his own @backbeatbbq . Thanks Dave! It was excellent!”
Grohl has an Instagram page for his new brand of barbeque which has become another outlet for his creative juices, having compared cooking to songwriting.
The California fires have claimed the lives of 44 people and destroyed numerous homes, also belonging to Hollywood celebrities.
