Spike Lee has responded to a gaffe announcing the director's death on Tuesday - instead of that of comic-book legend Stan Lee.
The Gisborne Herald's error went viral after a tribute to the 95-year-old, behind superheroes such as Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk, was placed on their front page with Spike Lee's name.
In an Instagram post, 61-year-old posted a photo of the error, writing, "God Bless Stan Lee. Me? Not Yet. And Dat's Da "I'm Still A Live, And Strivin'" Truth,Ruth. YA-DIG? SHO-NUFF".
The comic-book legend died on Tuesday after being rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from his Hollywood home.
