National has raised more questions for the Government about why Czech kickboxer Karel Sroubek was allowed to stay in New Zealand.

Court documents show an entire family was forced into witness protection because of his actions.

The family was allegedly threatened by Sroubek and four other men with connections to the Hells Angels over a deal that went wrong.

National leader Simon Bridges questioned Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern about the case in Parliament today.

"Is a criminal, someone with charges so serious that an entire family went into a witness protection scheme, someone who should have residency in New Zealand?" Mr Bridges asked.

Ms Ardern replied: "That member well knows, having been in government, that there are some cases which I'm sure that they wouldn't want to go through and select, pick out information from selectively."

An investigation into Immigration New Zealand's handling of the case is due back in the next two weeks.
