All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says he has no issue with his players looking abroad for financial security, with a number of key players having swapped the black jersey for a financial windfall.

In the past year alone, the likes of Malakai Fekitoa, Lima Sopoaga and Aaron Cruden have moved abroad, while constant rumours persist over the future of star names such as Beauden Barrett, Kieran Read and Ben Smith.

Speaking to media in London this morning, Hansen addressed the supposed player drain, but said that he had no problem with those seeking a more secure lifestyle.

"I think for some of them, it's a great idea, for others, it's a necessity," he began.

"They're not just supporting themselves, I understand that.

"If you feel like your time's up in the jersey, you should go. If you think you've still got time and energy to spend in the jersey (then) you shouldn't go.

"There's always exceptions to that. Some guys can't say no to the money, because they're not only supporting themselves, (they're supporting) their parents, the rest of their families.

"(We're) understanding of that."
