An Australian mother has given birth to a baby weighing in at an astonishing 5.755kg.
Nikki Bell and her partner Michael welcomed baby Parker James on Thursday last week, doing so without the aid of any pain medication.
Ms Bell's labour took approximately 2.5 hours, easily exceeding the average weight of 3.5kg.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Ms Bell spoke about her decision to turn down any medication.
"I'm sure all births hurt, whether it's 1.7kg of 5.7kg - they all hurt," Nikki said.
"My first baby went until 41 weeks and three days - lucky I didn't go that far he would have been 6kg plus."
The Guiness Book of Records has the heaviest ever baby born weighing in at 22 pounds, or just over 10kg.
