Israel Adesanya takes win at UFC 230 with first round knockout

Kiwi-Nigerian fighter Israel Adesanya has claimed a sensational victory at UFC 230 in New York, inflicting a first round TKO on Derek Brunson at Madison Square Garden.

After a shaky start that saw Brunson get him on the fence, Adesanya unleashed a flurry of blows on his much more experienced opponent.

A knee to the face towards the end of the opening round effectively sealed the deal for Adesanya, before landing a series of punches before the referee ended the bout in the Kiwi's favour.
