October 27, 2018

Three teenagers have been arrested today following a fire in Dunedin last night.

Police were called following reports a vacant building had been set alight on Montpellier Street at around 10.15pm.

Police say four male teenagers then left the scene in a vehicle, which crashed into a stationary taxi, before fleeing on foot.

One of them was arrested last night, while police conducted inquiries to locate the three others.

The four are due to appear in Dunedin District Court on November 2 on arson-related charges.

One is also facing a driving-related charge.
