Queen Elizabeth's last corgi, Whisper, has died.

He was 12, The Telegraph reports.

It comes after Willow, the last from the 14th generation of corgis descended from her first dog, Susan, died in April.

The Queen has long been associated with the short-legged dog breed since she first received Susan as an 18th birthday gift from her father, King George VI.

Whisper was adopted by the Queen in 2016.

The British monarch has two dogs remaining, "dorgis" (corgi-daschund crosses) Candy and Vulcan.
