Body found on Hawke's Bay property confirmed as that of missing man Alex Latimer

A body located at property at Te Haroto in Hawke's Bay last week has been formally identified as missing Napier man Alex Latimer.

The 30-year-old hadn't been seen since September 30 and his car was found burnt out on the side of a Napier road a week ago.

Last week police charged two men with assaulting Alex Latimer. They have been remanded in custody.

Today, police say a post-mortem and investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr Latimer’s death continue.
