Police are seeking help to identify a man who was critically injured today after he "exited a car".
Police said they and ambulance staff were called to the scene about 4pm today on Warspite Avenue where they found a man badly hurt on the side of the road.
He was taken to Wellington Hospital, but Police are now trying to figure out who he is.
He is a Maori or Polynesian man in his mid 30s, he is of solid build and about 185cm tall.
He has black hair cut short to a number 1 or number 2 length and a small amount of facial hair on his chin.
Police say they are looking into what exactly happened and are asking anyone with information to call them on 04 381 2000.
