A small but very determined fuel price protest group has begun in Timaru.
Stuff reports the group was out protesting on Sunday, with only a dozen or so participants, but they said it was the beginning of something bigger.
Organiser Karl Savage said there is a growing movement of people who are tired of constant fuel price rises.
He said there is a lot of "hidden support", but that the time is now here for people to actually get out and show themselves.
"We need to get our voice out there. I see this building momentum," he told Stuff.
"If fuel prices go up, everything goes up ... it's something that affects everyone."
The group were outside Z Caroline Bay and said they plan to choose a different station each week to target.
