'Nelson welcomed me as their son' – Shannon Frizell aims to shine for adopted home town in first All Blacks start

It may not be his debut, but there's no mistaking tomorrow's Test match is a special occasion for Tasman's Shannon Frizell.

Frizell will run out onto the Trafalgar Park pitch in the No.6 jersey against Argentina tomorrow night for just his second cap.

He is determined to deliver a special performance.

"My debut was in Dunedin, which at the time was home for me. And the second one's here in Nelson, which is home for me again," he said.

"I came here three years ago, and the Nelson people welcomed me as their own son and now I have to give back what they gave me a couple of years ago."

The All Blacks play Argentina at 7:30pm.
