Richie Mo'unga has been learning from the best No.10 in the game Beauden Barrett, as he prepares to start for the All Blacks against Argentina on Saturday night in Nelson.
Mo'unga is rooming with Barrett this week and admitted he has been pestering him about all his knowledge at first-five.
"I have had the pleasure of rooming with him (Beauden) this week, so I probably been picking his brain," said Mo'unga.
"Asking a few questions when he was just about to go to sleep."
Mo'unga said he has been getting to know his teammate Barrett on a personal level too.
"We've talked a lot about other things outside of footy, which has actually been really helpful getting to know him.
"Actually had the pleasure to listening to a few of his phone calls with Hannah (Barrett's partner) on speaker.
"Which has been an experience in itself."
The 24-year-old says he hasn't been getting ahead of himself with all the hype in the media and said he will embrace the challenge of starting in his first Test as an All Black.
"I'm just really grateful to be in this position and the experience that he has – he's one of the world's best tens.
"In fact he is the world's best ten. So for me myself, my job is to come in here and learn as much as I can so when I do get an opportunity – I was ready."
