One person dead in crash at Mount Cook

One person is dead after a crash on Tekapo-Twizel Road at Mount Cook.

Police say the crash just after 3pm involved three cars at the intersection with Mount Cook Road.

Two people were seriously injured and one has moderate injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.

State Highway 8 remains closed at Pukaki Dam.
