Police have released an image of a car they believe was used during an armed robbery of an Auckland pub.

Birkenhead's Good Home was robbed by two men on Saturday evening, one of whom was armed with a single-barrel shotgun.

Shots were fired during the raid.

During the robbery one of the offenders fled from the bar and deposited a duffle bag into a waiting vehicle – a stolen, white Subaru Impreza – registration FSP225, in which a third person was waiting.

The vehicle later drove towards Onewa Rd, and went left onto Mokoia Rd.

The car was stolen that evening from Sunnyhaven Ave in Beach Haven.

Police are desperate to hear from anyone who may have seen anything in the area that evening.

“We really want to hear from any members of the public who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time and has information which may assist our investigation," Detective Senior Sergeant Marcia Murray said.

“We are also specifically interested in hearing from any members of the public who have vehicle dashcam or GoPro recording devices who were near The Good Home or the surrounding areas of Birkenhead and Beach Haven on Saturday evening between 7pm and 10.15pm.

“We also want to hear from any Beach Haven or Birkenhead residents that have road-facing home security cameras that may have recorded suspicious activity."
