Eight men have been arrested in relation to the killing of 27-year-old Kevin Ratana in Whanganui last week.
Police are continuing to support his whānau.
The group arrested yesterday are facing a number of charges including threatening to kill, unlawful possession of ammunition and participation in an organised crime group.
Police expect to lay further charges as the homicide investigation continues.
Ratana was fatally shot in the Whanganui suburb of Castlecliff last Tuesday.
His tangi was held in Whanganui yesterday.
