Woman taken to hospital with stab wounds following fight in Hawke's Bay

Police are investigating a fight that broke out in Hawke's Bay last night where multiple shots were fired, and a young girl was stabbed. 

The incident happened at a private function on Moteo Marae Road where a fight broke out and multiple shots were reportedly fired at around 10pm.

A 20-year-old woman was taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital with stab wounds in critical condition, she is now in a serious but stable condition.

Two men were also taken to hospital following the incident.

Police are speaking to witnesses and have completed a scene examination. Those involved are believed to be known to each other, police say.
