All Blacks coach Steve Hansen kept his cards close to his chest over the possibility of giving young first-five Richie Mo'unga a run out against Argentina, following his side's dominant win over Australia at Eden Park on Saturday.

Mo'unga, 24, was the standout player for the Crusaders in Super Rugby this year, leading the Cantabrians to their second straight title, with calls resonating for him to replace Beauden Barrett as the All Blacks' first choice in the number 10 jersey going into the Rugby Championship.

However, with Hansen's faith in Barrett rewarded at Eden Park - with a four-try, 30 point performance - Mo'unga might have to wait a little longer to feature in the black jersey.

When asked about the possibility of squad rotation to face Argentina in Nelson on September 8, Hansen wasn't giving anything away, however did hint at the possibility of Mo'unga's inclusion.

"We've got people we have to develop and grow," he said.

"The Argentinian game is not a Bledisloe Cup game, so it gives us opportunities to much around, but not to the point where we disrespectful to Argentina, more to the point where we're growing the talent that we have."

Hansen also took time to praise Mo'unga, however did urge patience in regard to his future as an All Black.

"I understand everyone getting excited about Richie Mo'unga, because we're excited about him."

"He's an outstanding young man, and an outstanding young player, and gonna be great as the years go by.

"But, you can't buy experience, and you can't by moments in the middle. Beauden's had those, and you saw what happens when they all click together."
