Police are searching for Brik Poi Poi, with a warrant to arrest.
He has links to Hawke's Bay and Waikato and may be located in these regions.
Poi Poi is considered dangerous and police are asking members of the public to not approach or confront him for their own safety.
Police say others may be involved in helping Poi Poi avoid detection.
