Two of New Zealand’s biggest stars have caught up for coffee and exchanged signed gifts.

Lorde sat down with Kieran Read for coffee in Auckland on Friday.

Read took to Instagram, posting the photos with the caption “Hope you enjoy your first All Black test tomorrow @lordemusic.”

Lorde responded saying “Best surprise ever !!! Good luck Kieran.”

The pop sensation gave the All Blacks captain a signed copy of her debut album Pure Heroine.

Lorde, real name Ella Yelich-O’Connor, signed the album wishing Read all the best for Saturday’s second Bledisloe Cup test against the Wallabies.

“Dear Kieran, you’re my favourite All Black. Thanks for coming to coffee.”

The artist also included her own illustrations, including a self portrait with a speech bubble proclaiming she’s the “number 1 KJ fan.”

Read gave the singer a signed All Blacks jersey.

The All Blacks play Australia at Eden Park tonight in the aim of continuing their 41 game unbeaten streak at the stadium.

Lorde is on a break from her Melodrama World Tour, next playing at Festival Fauna Primavera in Santiago, Chile on November 10.
