Former NRL player Lance Thompson found dead at 40

Former Dragons and Sharks NRL player Lance Thompson has reportedly been found dead in his unit in Sydney.

Police say the death is not suspicious though the cause it not yet known.

The 40-year-old played 239 first grade games, mostly for the Dragons, after debuting as a 17-year-old in 1995.

He retired at the end of the 2008 NRL season.
