Auckland schoolgirl battles with entertainment giant Nickelodeon over 'Slime Princess' trademark

A West Auckland schoolgirl is facing off against US entertainment giant Nickelodeon – over the use of the word "slime".

It all started when Katharina Weischede, the "Slime Princess", decided to turn her love of slime into a home-based business late last year.

When the 12-year-old tried to trademark the title, the lawyers came knocking, saying her name would be in violation of its "slime" and "Nickelodeon Slime" trademarks.
