August 17, 2018

A pod of pilot whales had to be herded out of a fiord in Iceland after becoming stuck there for the second time.

Amazing footage was captured of the pod of whales, which entered the fjord for the second time on Monday.

A local kayaking company was able to get up close to film the mammals.

The pod was made up of about 60 whales and they were trapped in the Kolgrafafjörður fiord, the Iceland Monitor reported.

They were herded back out to open waters.
