Taylor Swift, one year on from winning sexual assault case, tells concertgoers she’s sorry to 'anyone who ever wasn’t believed'

August 16, 2018

A year after a jury ruled in her favour in a sexual assault trial, Taylor Swift has said sorry to "anyone who ever wasn't believed".

Yesterday marked 12 months since Swift won a court battle against Denver DJ David Mueller, who assaulted the pop star by grabbing her backside during a backstage meet-and-greet in 2013.

Speaking onstage during a concert in Tampa, the musician also said, "I don't know what turn my life would have taken... if people didn't believe me when I said that something had happened to me."

Some of Swift's fans at the city's Raymond James Stadium held up $1 bills - the settlement Swift won in the case.

The Reputation singer is currently in the middle of a world tour.
