Two people critically injured after car crash in Wellington

Two people were left critically injured after a serious crash last night on Titahi Bay Road, Porirua.

A single vehicle was travelling at speed and lost control at a round-about near Lyttelton Avenue, crashing into a tree.

Police and emergency services attended the scene around 11:50pm.

The two occupants of the vehicle were critically injured and are now being treated at Wellington Hospital. 

The incident is currently under investigation by the Serious Crash Unit.
