Truck carrying caustic soda rolls and blocks State Highway 1 near Hunterville

A truck carrying dangerous goods has rolled on State Highway One near Hunterville, north of Palmerston North.

Police say the truck was carrying caustic soda and paint when it crashed just before 5am but none of the substances have spilled.

The crash partially blocked the road but the lane has now re-opened and the driver was not injured.
