A group of inspiring women have banded together to strengthen the sense of community around Wellington's Cuba Street.

The women, decked out in hi-vis vests and flowers in their hair, are known as the Mamas on Patrol.

Every Friday morning, the mamas check in on shop owners as part of the Wellington Pasifika Patrol - and they're in it for the love.
