Dunedin police investigating alleged assault on 43-year-old man at petrol station

A 43-year-old man was allegedly assaulted last night in Dunedin, leaving him with serious injuries.

Detective Sergeant Nik Leigh said in a statement the incident was said to have happened on the forecourt of Mobil Forbury on Hillside Road, at 10.30pm. 

The man was taken to Dunedin Hospital.
