Steve Hansen has praised new call-up Jackson Hemopo, who was added to the All Blacks squad as injury cover for next week's third and final Test against France in Dunedin.
With Vaea Fifita likely to miss next Saturday's clash with concussion symptoms, and Liam Squire in doubt with a shoulder injury, Hemopo, 24, has been added to the squad as cover for both lock and loose forward.
Speaking to media in Wellington today, Hansen spoke highly of Hemopo, explaining his selection.
"I think he's stood up," Hansen said,
"He's got a hard nosed attitude, he's a good athlete.
"He can play lock and we think he can play that six role as well, which makes him a valuable option if you want to put him on the bench.
"He's well and truly worthy of being selected."
