Watch: Thousands of Kiwis celebrate Royal wedding with house parties

The 18,000 kilometre distance wasn't enough to stop hundreds of thousands of Kiwis from enjoying yesterday's royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

House parties across the country were heaving with royalists toasting the happy couple just before midnight.

While the festivities meant a late night for some, the ceremony offered a good opportunity to eat and drink in fancy dress.
