Two people badly hurt after train hits vehicle in Ngaruawahia

May 21, 2018

Two people were taken to hospital in a critical condition after a vehicle was hit by a train in the Waikato town of Ngaruawahia last night.

Police said the incident took place about 10.10pm at the rail crossing on Princess Street.

The road is closed in that area as the Serious Crash Unit investigates. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
