All Blacks hooker Codie Taylor was thrilled for his Crusaders teammates, with the trio of Jack Goodue, Jordan Taufua and Richie Mo'unga earning their spots in the squad to face France next month.
Speaking to media today, Taylor spoke of what it meant to see his teammates get the chance to don the black jersey, in Taufua's case for the very first time.
"It's unreal," he said.
"Richie I've played with him since he started at the Crusaders, Taufs (Taufua), I've been with him since year one academy. We came through together.
"When I found out last night, I got shivers down my spine, just because I know how hard he works.
"Everytime he goes out on that field, he's willing to kill someone, or kill himself for the team.
"To see him out there, and be selected on the back of some awesome performances is unreal, and I'm sure he'll do the same in the black jersey."
